THE WORLDS LARGEST DIGITAL CANYON
"Once a YEAR,
go SOMEPLACE you've
NEVER BEEN BEFORE."
HIKE ONE OF THE WORLDS MIRACLES
Arizona, USA, 2014
I believe you will agree that time square is one of the most vital and culturally diverse place in the city. There you can meet everybody starting from Hulk and Sponge Bob till naked singing Mr. America and on top of it hear many languages. Personally I think that the most stunning part about the times square is the red stared pavilion, where merges diverse cultural groups of people and enjoy together most digitally striking canyon in the world. Definitely one of the tourist places in city, too. If you happen to be in time square in the late evening, you will not notice how fast passes the time, moreover when leaving the time square you will be very surprised how dark is the rest of city streets.I suggest to go to there during the evening, pick up some snacks and enjoy the worlds largest and expensive digital displays.
Washington D.C is the capital of United States of America. The city as it self is very historical and clean. There you can see most of the countries historical heritage. I personally enjoyed walking near the reflection pool till the Lincoln Memorial. During the walk you will see canadian gooses and squirrels are everywhere. What about the White House? Well, to be honest it is not that impressive, Washington D.C has more to offer than that. Meaning the police is guarding the White House in horizon from 500m. So you can see it only from the distance. Nevertheless if you have any relation to employees or any other representative at the White House there is a good chance for you to apply and do White House Tour. They also suggest applying at least 3 months in advanced. I tried to reach out several times for latvian embassy and get the permission to do the White House Tour, but I never got any replies back. Maybe you will have better luck, than I did. ;)I have heared the stories that it is super interesting to see it from inside. One more thing, I found Lincoln Waffle House as a great diner, I suggest to take roasted chicken with typical american waffle its delouses.
I was at the south rim of the Grand Canyon, which is also the place from where to see the most impressive rock formations of the canyon. It is 446 km long, 29 km wide and 1.6 km deep. Moreover when going to the south rim you can see Hermit road and Desert view.
At the first moment Grand Canyon seems unnatural and unreal. It is extremely large and visually stunning natural canyon. It is also so natural as you hike near the rim of the canyon you see elks and rattlesnakes. I was so lucky to see elk family. No rattlesnakes! Truly suggest to stay in canyon and also see the sunset coming down as then you will see it in all its glory.
Vienna, Austria, 2014
CAPITAL OF THE MUSIC LEGACY
Vienna is the capital and also largest city of Austria. The city is located near Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary; these nationality representatives are very common in Vienna in compared with other Austrian cities. Many people also regard Vienna as the European Music City, because of its heritage. Vienna is also rich of its architecture; it has several Baroque castles, churches, gardens and many other monuments. If you have only 2 days time to visit and want to see modern and old school architecture and mixed of both.I suggest to visit these places: Museum Quartier, there are about 4 diverse art exhibitions, Hundert Wasser Haus and its Village, Stephens Square and its Cathedral, Castle Schönbrunn and do not forget to go behind the castle and explore the gardens and definitely go up the hill and enjoy the view of Vienna City. Then have drink at Roof Top Bar: 25hours Hotel Goldrichtig from there you will see the Vienna from the top and their prices for drinks are every friendly. The order of the locations, you decide depending on the weather conditions.

ONE OF THE HISTORACALLY-RICH DESTINATIONS
New Orleans, USA 2014
The first impression when we arrived in New Orleans, let us to feel like being in Italy or other part of Europe. No wonder why we felt like that, the city was founded by French and later ruled by Spanish and then bought by Louisiana back in 18th century. For sure this cultural and historical influence left the traces. By 1990 in New Orleans born Jazz and you could tell that, as the streets were full of live and music. Very uncommon to other USA cities was that we could walk around by feet and on the streets were many small bars, restaurants and cafeterias.
If you are Coffee lover you should try Louisiana’s special and the only one: Community Coffee with chicory taste. Oh the po' boys. Louisiana's pride and joy, is a traditional submarine sandwich. My brother got one filled with scrimps, vegetables and chips served in baguette-type of Bread. It was very spicy, crispy and the middle was kind of fluffy. I think he liked it :)
New Orleans is kind of mysterious city; famous about its cemeteries, ghost tours and Mardi Gras parades. As the city is so festive and full of live, it gave us a flair that people live in bohemia. We also saw how was filmed of the NCIS series. As soon as you go outside of the city center you can still see the impact from Hurricane Katrina and in many parts of the city harsh poverty.
Despite these influences and changes, New Orleans is truly one of the world's most fascinating cities and one of the America's most culturally and historically-rich destinations. If you happen, to be near it’s worth to pass by.
